The Borough of North Arlington has free tree seedlings available for residents of the community. These tree seedlings are provided as a result of a State of New Jersey program, ‘New Jersey Tree Recovery,’ designed to replace trees in communities lost during Super Storm Sandy. Residents will be required to plant these seedlings and care for them as they grow into mature trees. Each recipient resident will receive a packet of five seedlings. These bare root seedlings will range in size from 6-24 inches in length. Seedlings should be planted as soon as possible after pickup to ensure they will survive. Seedlings must be picked up at the Municipal Parking area at Borough Hall on Saturday, April 22 from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. Any resident interested MUST call 201-991-6060 Ext 108 to register for this free program. The supply of seedlings is limited to the first 100 resident applicants.
