Dan Pronti has been elected twice by the residents of North Arlington and has been serving as Councilman since 2013.

Dan made North Arlington his home when he married his wife Tammy, in 1998. Dan’s daughter, Alessandra, has attended North Arlington public schools and has been active in Recreation Sports.

A Law Enforcement Professional, Dan was a highly decorated Police Officer and served the Montclair Police Department as both a Police Officer and then a Sergeant before retiring in 2010.

During Dan’s Law Enforcement career, he served as PBA State Delegate for nine years and is a proud Gold Life Member of the New Jersey State PBA. Dan is also a life member of the Italian American Police Society of New Jersey. He has served on the Pedestrian and Parking Safety Boards for the Township of Montclair, where he learned the appropriate strategies needed to keep both residents and motorists safe. Dan has also applied for and received numerous public safety grants, for both enforcement and improvements.

In North Arlington, Dan has served on the Zoning Board of Adjustments and has coached both Soccer and Softball. He has dedicated his time and efforts into making sure youth programs remain instrumental in North Arlington. Dan has been, and always will be a huge supporter of all North Arlington Sports.

After retiring from the Police Department, Dan began a career in Real Estate. He currently holds the title of Realtor Associate and works at Century 21 Gold Advantage. This knowledge and insight is where Dan gets his drive to keep property taxes down and property values up.
Dan has always shown a strong sense of “Community” and will continue making strides in that regard. It is his goal to make North Arlington a great place to live, shop, and own a business.
