Councilman Mark Yampaglia



Born in 1969, Mark Yampaglia, Esq. is a 47-year old life-long resident of the Borough of North Arlington.

A brother, son and husband, Mark resides with his wife Shirley and are parishioners of Queen of Peace Church.

A graduate of Queen of Peace elementary school and a 1987 graduate of North Arlington High School, Mark was a member of the Viking varsity baseball team.

The son of retired Municipal Judge Emil Yampaglia, Mark was appointed municipal Public Defender in 2004 and appointed to the Borough Council in 2005 and again in 2007 by two different mayors, a first in North Arlington history!

Elected to the Borough Council in 2005, re-elected in 2008 and again in 2011, Mark Yampaglia was elected to the governing body for a fourth time on November 8, 2016.

Mr. Yampaglia served with distinction as liaison to various municipal boards and commissions including the Library Board; Recreation Commission & Senior Citizen Representative under both Mayors Russ Pitman and Peter Massa.

A 1992 graduate of FDU with a BA in Communications, Yampaglia graduated Magna Cum Laude and is a member of the prestigious honor society, Phi Beta Kappa. In 1998 Yampaglia earned his MA in Corporate Communications from FDU and his JD from The Touro School of Law in 2002. Mr. Yampaglia is licensed to practice law here in the State of New Jersey.

An attorney in private practice located in Rutherford, Mark Yampaglia prides himself as a bipartisan problem solver, fiscal conservative and advocate for seniors and veterans in his life-long commitment to public service.
