Honoring those who served: Veteran's Day in North Arlington, 2008

Members of the Calo-Sass VFW gathered as they do every year to remember and honor America's veterans. Now more than ever, this recognition of service, duty and country is especially important with our troops in both Iraq and Afghanistan on the frontlines in the war against global terrorism.
Mayor Pete Massa along with Councilman James Ferriero attended the ceremonies. Alexis Granell, the daughter of Councilman Al Granell and BOE Trustee Sharon Granell participated in the playing of Taps. Mayor Massa expressed gratitiude to those in attendance for their service to the United States as well as their continued patriotism and rememberance of those who lost their lives in line of duty. |
