At last night’s Council Meeting, the Mayor and Councilmembers recognized the 50th anniversary of the North Arlington Volunteer Emergency Squad. Thank you, NAVES, for your 50 years of dedicated selfless service to the citizens of North Arlington!

Sergeant David Hudak was promoted to the position of Police Lieutenant at the June 9th council meeting. The display of support was obvious with family members, friends and colleagues being in attendance to watch as Mayor Pronti conducted the official swearing in ceremony. Lieutenant Hudak will continue serving the community of North Arlington in the utmost professional manner as he always has since his initial appointment in 2012. Congratulations Lieutenant Hudak on this well-deserved promotion!

Mayor Pronti presented borough resident, Christopher Duane, with the Mayor Pronti’s Outstanding Citizen Award. Christopher Duane worked very hard in achieving the title of Eagle Scout. Reaching the rank of Eagle Scout is no easy feat, it requires ongoing commitment and dedication, which Christopher obviously demonstrated. The Mayor, Councilmembers and the North Arlington community as a whole, congratulate Christopher for this extraordinary achievement!
