On behalf of the Borough of North Arlington, we are sad to report the death of former Mayor, Leonard R. Kaiser.

Mayor Kaiser served the Borough from 1983-2002 and was the longest serving Mayor in North Arlington’s history.  He was responsible for many innovative concepts during his term, including the construction of sports fields and parks.  Mayor Kaiser will always be remembered for his response to the 1990 collapse of several mine shafts within the Borough. 

There will always be signs of his legacy throughout North Arlington.  Our heartfelt condolences go out to his loved ones.
